A 'Must-See' Movie For All Animation Lovers Out There!

If you love CGI animation, especially ones having to do with fighting, martial arts, and culture, you should definitely watched Kung Fu Panda 2.
I loved the first movie... but this one had a wonderful mix of kung fu, chinese culture, friendship, drama, and character development.
I've gotta tell you guys, Dreamworks Animation know what they're doing. Not only does they're work appeal to children but it appeals to adults as well.
Watch it whenever you can. You will not be disappointed :D

Song Prompt for May 25th

I was inspired by the song, "Nobody's Home" by Avril
Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y9aXaV9mrY

Here is my quick free write based around this song:

I couldn't stand being in that place anymore. I couldn't stand verbal manipulated and tugged around for the ride as I were a puppet to a verbal marionette. I couldn't stand someone else running my life, molding me and shaping me into someone I didn't have a desire to be.

So a ran away. As far away as I possibly could. I didn't know how I was going to take care of myself or live... I didn't even know if I was going to have a place to lay my head once the day was out but all I knew was was that I wanted to run far, far away to my freedom; to a place where I could recognize my dreams, listen to the muse that had been caged in for far too long, and to be free to express myself however I please.

I didn't know how I was going to survive but it was far better than being taken care of and being completely lost inside

So, what do you think?
What did you come up with?

Creative Space?

Where do you like to go in order to stimulate your creative muse? What places make you comfortable and unhindered?

Somes place I like to go to draw and/or write is Barnes & Noble, the porch of my house, Central Park (or any flower, foliage filled park), and a coffee house that isn't Starbucks (they have horrible coffee and hot chocolate)

What about you?

One Word Writing Prompt- May 25th

What is a one word writing prompt? Simple.

It's when you write or draw something based or revolving around a single word. The theme of your writing, whatever it may be--a short story, poem, a doodle, digital art piece, etc.-- has to be connected to that one word.

The word for this week is...
Underground

Don't hesitate to tell me what you come up with ^^

Fanfiction?

I am currently a fanfiction writer but I am also in the process of making my own book.

What is a fanfiction?

Fan fiction (alternately referred to as fanfiction, fanfic, FF, or fic) is a broadly-defined term for fan labor regarding stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanfiction)

I am currently a fanfiction writer for TMNT, for example.

Writing fanfictions is a good way to be creative if you can't think of your own characters to make a story or its a good way to practice before you start making your own stuff.

Are you a fanfiction writer and, if not, would you be willing to become one or is it not for you?

Fandom?

What is your fandom(s)?

My fandoms art TMNT, Kung Fu Panda, Boondocks, and Black Butler (aka Kuroshitsuji)

What about you? What fandoms are you into? Do they inspire you to do something creative or do you just like them to turn on your inner fanboy/fangirl?

Dare to Dream...?

I've always wanted to be an artist and/or writer for something well known and legendary, like Kung Fu Panda, TMNT, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and so on. I know I'm a good artist but I want to be better than I already am.

I need to get better and the only way to do that is to keep on learning and keep on practicing.

I would love to be a concept artist, animator, or a graphic artist... but art school is extremely expensive for me. Continued education after college is my best bet.

Do you guys have any ideas? What are some other ways of getting the experience necessary to better and stretch my artistic talent?
