Bullets cannot be recalled. They cannot be uninvented. But they can be taken out of the gun.-- Martin Amis

Also, does this quote speak to you? Is it a testament of your life or of the life of someone you know? Do you wish to apply this small teaching to your life somehow or have you done that already?
Take some time out to do a quick free hand sketch/free write/etc. and see what you come up with while this quote is in mind. Don't be shy now. If something comes out from this prompt, don't hesitate to share ;)
My True Blood predictions this season
Guest post written by Jenny Pullman
Now I haven't read any of the True Blood books, but I somehow have a knack for predicting what's going to happen in the seasons of True Blood. In season two I totally called that MaryAnn was some kind of god or goddess and that's what she ended up being. Then I also predicted that Sookie would eventually kill Bill's maker because she was getting way too crazy and simply interfering too much with their relationship and Bill's after life.
I'm really big into spoilers for TV shows and there are plenty of them online for True Blood because it has such a huge following! I was looking up some of them one day when I ran across the website www.ClearWirelessinternet4g.com. After I looked through it some I decided to show it to my husband and we changed over our home internet service to the provider.
I think that my biggest True Blood prediction is that Eric and Sookie are going to continue dating even after he gets his memory back. She's still upset with Bill and I don't' think they're going to get back together any time soon.

Picture Prompt- July 26th
What comes to mind when you see this image? Does the lush green of the grass and wild foliage refresh you? Inspire you? Enable you? What about the whole look of an abandoned train track and tunnel? What does the overgrowth that covers the industrial marvel signify or stand for to you? What about the lone figure in red-- a woman, perhaps-- that stands at the mouth of the pitch black tunnel? What is their purpose for being present in this picture? What do they signify to you?
Hope you guys come up with something good. Don't be afraid to share whatever this picture prompt creatively enables you to to make.

Madness
Why are people so quick to call others crazy? Histerical? Psychotic, even? Though the person walks, breaths, and goes through the troubles of life the same as you do, you are so quick to label them as disturbed because they view the world through a different pair of specs. As a creative mind, I view the world as a mass filled with wonder, inspiration, change, and the unexpected. It's filled with things that I have seen, not seen, or unfamiliar.
Does the fact that I go beyond the restricting, unoriginal boredom of a four cornered box color me mad? Does seeing beauty and potential in something that you see as ugly and useless make me odd?
I feel sorry for you. You will never be able to understand the feeling of freedom and peace that comes with the opening of one's mental eyes. I cannot image how bland and how tasteless the world seem like through your specs.
Perhaps, we all need a little touch of madness in order to truly start living/

Song Prompt- July 21st
This song is called "Cinderella Man" by Eminem.
Although Eminem seems like the type to use a lot of cursing and profanity in his work, they all seem to have an actual meaning behind it, much like this song does. Eminem usual raps about his daughters, his life, the lives of others, problems in our world, and overcoming obstacles. Not a lot of performers do that.
What comes to mind when you hear this song?
Do a free write, free hand sketch, etc to this song. See what comes out. Feel free to leave a comment about what come about. Don't be afraid to share :3

Ways to Overcome Writer's Block
Being a fiction writer, although not a famous one like J.K.Rowling or Dean Koontz, I sometimes find myself blocked off from creative drive. It's a very frustrating feeling that usually leaves me pacing in my room, staring idly at a blank page on my laptop screen, or pulling at the roots of my hair with aggravation. I hate the feeling of getting stuck... but there are several ways to break the fetters of imaginative inactivity. Here are some methods of "breaking the block" that I tend to use whenever I hit a snag in my flow of writing.
- Listen to music that you aren't familiar with. Listening to the radio or to your own playlist can start to get boring or unimaginative because you tend to hear the same songs over and over again. Sure, there might be a song or two that you're really fond of but after listening to them several times, one would tend to get irritated with them. Try listening to songs or genres that you're not familiar with or--better yet-- try listening to songs that you don't particularly like. You can even try listen to instrumental songs so that you won't be distracted by song lyrics while you're writing.
- Find inspiration in real life situations and experiences. In a very well thought out piece of written fiction, a good author tends to mix pieces of their own life experiences into their works. Sometimes, they would go as far as to write direction accounts of real life events-- no matter how personal they are--that they had actual witnessed or participated in. A good author sometimes uses they're talents of writing as therapy for words they are unable to say out loud. Why not try to do the same?
- Try to find a place where you feel creatively free. It doesn't have to be a coffee shop or a bookstore but just as long as you find a comfortable place where you can reflect on your ideas without distraction or stifling outlets. If writing in your office or home isn't working for you, try a different, more open location.
- Take a break and do something else. If your writing isn't to your liking for the moment, try to take a short break and do something else. Try doing some chores or start reading a new book. Get your mind off of your developing plot for a short while and focus on something completely different. When you get back to writing, you won't feel so stressed or pressured to get your creative flow going.
- Brainstorm with a friend, whether they are a writer or not. Other people might give you sparks of inspiration when you find yourself stuck. Sit down with your friend or fellow writer and talk out the plot of your story. They could help you break through a particularly complex part of your story outline or even give you ideas for a new story.

Song Prompt for May 25th
I was inspired by the song, "Nobody's Home" by Avril

Here is my quick free write based around this song:
I couldn't stand being in that place anymore. I couldn't stand verbal manipulated and tugged around for the ride as I were a puppet to a verbal marionette. I couldn't stand someone else running my life, molding me and shaping me into someone I didn't have a desire to be.
So a ran away. As far away as I possibly could. I didn't know how I was going to take care of myself or live... I didn't even know if I was going to have a place to lay my head once the day was out but all I knew was was that I wanted to run far, far away to my freedom; to a place where I could recognize my dreams, listen to the muse that had been caged in for far too long, and to be free to express myself however I please.
I didn't know how I was going to survive but it was far better than being taken care of and being completely lost inside

So, what do you think?
What did you come up with?

One Word Writing Prompt- May 25th
What is a one word writing prompt? Simple.
It's when you write or draw something based or revolving around a single word. The theme of your writing, whatever it may be--a short story, poem, a doodle, digital art piece, etc.-- has to be connected to that one word.
Don't hesitate to tell me what you come up with ^^

Fanfiction?
I am currently a fanfiction writer but I am also in the process of making my own book.
Fan fiction (alternately referred to as fanfiction, fanfic, FF, or fic) is a broadly-defined term for fan labor regarding stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanfiction)
I am currently a fanfiction writer for TMNT, for example.
Writing fanfictions is a good way to be creative if you can't think of your own characters to make a story or its a good way to practice before you start making your own stuff.
Are you a fanfiction writer and, if not, would you be willing to become one or is it not for you?

Fandom?
What is your fandom(s)?
My fandoms art TMNT, Kung Fu Panda, Boondocks, and Black Butler (aka Kuroshitsuji)
What about you? What fandoms are you into? Do they inspire you to do something creative or do you just like them to turn on your inner fanboy/fangirl?
Dare to Dream...?
I've always wanted to be an artist and/or writer for something well known and legendary, like Kung Fu Panda, TMNT, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and so on. I know I'm a good artist but I want to be better than I already am.
I need to get better and the only way to do that is to keep on learning and keep on practicing.
I would love to be a concept artist, animator, or a graphic artist... but art school is extremely expensive for me. Continued education after college is my best bet.
Do you guys have any ideas? What are some other ways of getting the experience necessary to better and stretch my artistic talent?
